Who We Are

Nearly 100 years of
manufacturing expertise.
Applied to cold chain.

EcoFiber Packaging is built on the Jones Family of Companies' nonwoven manufacturing platform — nearly a century of fiber science, production engineering, and material expertise. We didn't enter cold chain packaging to chase a sustainability trend. We entered because we had already perfected the insulation. The plant-based nonwoven fiber at the core of every EcoFiber product is the result of decades of manufacturing refinement, not a startup's first run at a new material.

Performance is our number one design objective — always has been. The sustainability credentials are real and documented, but they are the result of how we build the product, not the reason we built it. Our products hold temperature because they are engineered to hold temperature. Third-party ISTA 7E validated. 60+ hour hold times. Qualified across summer, winter, and custom ambient profiles. The sustainability story is a bonus your procurement team didn't have to compromise for.

The EcoFiber
Difference

Six structural reasons packaging distributors, brand owners, and supply chain buyers qualify EcoFiber instead of staying with their incumbent supplier.

1
Owned Fiber Supply
Our parent operation manufactures the nonwoven raw material. There is no third-party fiber supplier between your QA documentation and the actual production lot. One name on the COA. One throat to grab.
2
Documentation That Closes Audits
Validation reports, COAs, bio-content certifications, and material safety documentation arrive together — not after a follow-up request. Built for supplier qualification, not retrofitted into it.
3
USDA BioPreferred Certified
Four insulation blends carry independent USDA certification — a federally administered program, not a marketing claim. The kind of credential that holds up when your sustainability team is audited.
4
Validated Thermal Performance
Independent third-party testing across the full set of ISTA ambient profiles — not internal lab claims. Application-specific performance reports are shared as part of qualification, sized to your payload, your lanes, and your QA file.
5
Engineered to Match Your System
On-site converting means we match your existing shipper system — corrugate dimensions, payload geometry, pad count, fold pattern. We replace the liner without forcing you to redesign the box.
6
A Partnership, Not a Transaction
Specification, validation, kitting, ongoing supply, and account management — under one roof, with a single point of contact. Built for the long-cycle, high-trust supply relationships pharma actually runs on.
The Regulatory & Market Tailwind

Plastic packaging is becoming
a liability line item.

Procurement teams are no longer being asked whether they can find a sustainable alternative — they're being asked when they will switch. EPR fees, scope-3 emissions reporting, and consumer-facing brand commitments are converging into a single answer: bio-based has to be on the qualified supplier list.

EPR Fees Rising
Extended Producer Responsibility programs in California, Colorado, Maine, Oregon, and Washington are creating real per-package fee liability for plastic packaging — making bio-based the lower-cost option.
Scope-3 Reporting
Plan sponsors, health systems, and Fortune 500 buyers now require packaging emissions disclosure. Bio-based carries lower embedded carbon — and we provide the documentation.
EU PPWR Pressure
EU Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation is reshaping global supplier requirements. Multinational brands are aligning North American suppliers to the same bio-content thresholds.
Member & Patient Expectations
PBM members and pharmacy patients increasingly expect plant-based, recyclable packaging. The unboxing experience has become part of the brand promise.
The Market Is Moving

Procurement is being reshaped by regulation, reporting, and customer expectation — all at once.

"Sustainable cold chain packaging is one of the fastest-growing segments in pharmaceutical logistics — driven by regulatory pressure and corporate sustainability commitments."
Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Industry Outlook
"Extended Producer Responsibility laws now cover roughly one-third of US population — and the per-package fee structures favor bio-based alternatives over plastic."
EPR Policy Tracker · CA, CO, ME, OR, WA
"Amazon eliminated plastic air pillows from North American fulfillment centers in 2024 — accelerating the timeline for every brand on the platform to find fiber-based alternatives."

Cold Chain Solutions

A complete program,
not just a part number.

Every cold chain application is different — your distribution lanes, payload temperature range, transit time, and seasonal variability all shape what "good enough" looks like. Third-party validated thermal testing, full kitting and assembly, sustainability documentation, and custom engineering — all under one roof.

Third-Party Verified

01

Thermal Validation & Documentation

Independent third-party thermal testing across ISTA 7E and custom ambient profiles relevant to your distribution lanes. You receive a full validation report — the kind that goes directly into your QA file or your supplier qualification package without rework.

ISTA-aligned protocols · COAs included

02

Full Kitting & Assembly Services

Most cold chain suppliers ship liners. We ship ready-to-load shippers. Liners pre-inserted into corrugate, sealed, palletized, and labeled to your spec — so your fulfillment team can drop in payload and ship. Reduces touches, errors, and labor cost on your floor.

Bulk packs · Fully assembled coolers · Custom kit builds · Private-label cartons available

03

A Sustainability Story That Survives Audit

Plant-fiber based composition with documented degradability across soil, freshwater, saltwater, and wastewater. Four insulation blends carry USDA BioPreferred certification. We provide bio-content percentages, end-of-life pathways, and the certifications your sustainability and regulatory teams need to defend the claim.

04

Custom Engineering & Private Label

Our in-house converting operation produces fully customized liner geometries matched to your exact shipper dimensions — without outsourcing the tooling or the fiber. Private-label carton options are available for distributor and brand programs that want their name on the box.

Protective Packaging

Bio-based protection for every shipment.

The same plant-based nonwoven fiber that keeps temperature-sensitive shipments cold is also a high-performance, plastic-free alternative to bubble wrap, foam, and air pillows. Void fill, edge protection, and dunnage — biodegradable, USDA BioPreferred certified, and backed by the same supply chain as our cold chain products.

Void Fill & Dunnage
Lightweight, bio-based fill that compresses under load and recovers — preventing shifting without single-use plastic.
Edge & Corner Protection
Nonwoven pads engineered to wrap corners, absorb impact, and distribute compression — protecting the most damage-prone surfaces.
Premium Unboxing
Soft, scratch-free, plastic-free presentation — elevating the customer experience for D2C, electronics, glassware, and apparel brands.
Sustainability
Biodegradable, plant-based construction — unlike bubble wrap and air pillows, which persist in the environment.
For e-commerce, fulfillment & D2C brands
The shift away from single-use plastic packaging isn't coming — it's here. EcoFiber gives you a replacement with the cushioning performance of foam and the recyclability story consumers actually want.
